Pointless Post: Questionable Quotes: Random Ramblings: Short Scribbles: Totally Topicless

Whatever.

I haven't been writing for a while since I've been so occupied with programming and taking pointless photos and learning from more experienced photography enthusiasts that I have not done enough what I used to do much back in the days: random ramblings on Xanga.

So in the next few minutes - maybe half an hour - I'm going to just type down whatever comes to mind. So this post would be random, pointless, and totally topicless.

...

I put too much sugar in my Korean red ginseng tea. I'm going to add some hot water to it.

Just read a post from by good buddy Zidni's site. He said something about Malaysians littering. This has been on my mind for years. Why is it that Malaysians litter, in general? If it's the question of culture, geographically and ethnically we are just the same as Singapore. But I can be sure that some of my friend can vouch for Singapore's famed cleanliness of public places. So it's not entirely the geographic and/or ethnic culture, it's the facilities and the enforcement. I have lots to say about this, and I have much on my mind to pour out, but I won't for now, maybe later for a dedicated post, if anyone's interested at all.

Ahh, the tea's much better, not too sweet now.

Just received another translation job. A professor from the department of Chemical Engineering needs some documents translated from Bahasa into English. Not sure how much I want to charge him. I'm thinking of within the range of 10-30 sen per word. What do you think? Too little or too much?

Life's quite busy now, but still wonderful nonetheless.

My sister Una is back from Japan for a couple of days. But's she's back home in Seremban and I have to go to work everyday. Not enough time to be spent with a loved one who's here on borrowed time. If I have enough money I'd fly to Japan in two blinks. There's so much to see and learn from that country. Not to mention their enormous capacity and resources for research - so much more vast compared to here in Malaysia.

She wants me to substitute sugar with honey. I'll try honey (alternatively, put a comma before that last word).

From past and recent experience, I find that bureaucracy and administrations tend to overlook me in a lot of important matters and dealings, especially in terms of wages, claims and promotions.

Lack of funds prevents me from even thinking of trying to propose to my good friend my intentions to consider the possibility of purchasing his MBP (how's that for uncertainness). But I do want an MBP (or a MBP, depending on how you read 'MBP').

Not sure if I want to write on Xanga my thoughts about the current political conditions in Malaysia.

I miss my college friends - Michigan had been too awesome to me.

I finally won two back-to-back table tennis matches with my dad! Next: train myself to play offensively instead of defensively.

...

So, what's been on your mind this past half-hour?

From Flickr: Putrajaya Photoshoot (updated with more photos)

And yet another photo post from me...

Spiderman stunt double practicing. This shot was taken as a part of a photo outing with fellow forum members.

The new hot-air-filled zeppelin. Hindenburg-proof.

This was the last balloon to take off morning of the 21st.

Looking up one corner of the Taj Mahal style Justice Department building.

...

EDIT: I came back to Putrajaya a day later to shoot photos of the hot air balloon fiesta. Photos follow.

Some of the many colorful balloons taking off that day. You can see evidence of wear and tear on some of these balloons. The middle one obviously has had a recent patching done.

A view of the balloon's inside as the air is being heated up.

The balloons actually touch and kiss each other before the takeoff, due to the limited space. If this were to happen mid-flight it'd be dangerous I  imagine.

It took quite some manpower to have the balloon from a horizontal position to an upright position.

The balloons taking off to the morning sky, one by one.

A balloon that just passed over my head, giving me an interesting view from below.

Overall, quite an interesting weekend of photoshooting... both solo and in a group. There's still much for me to learn... for those of you who share my interest in photography or have some degree of experience in this field or any related field please feel free to dispense any comments and/or criticism. Thank you =)
